A great way to relax the vocal chords is to breathe out singing a note and then breathe in passing the air through the vocal chords singing a note. Make yourself sound like a donkey. It sounds hilarious but its relaxes the vocal chords. Do this whenever your voice feels stressed. It works like a charm.

One technique I use every time I warmup is to say Mum Mum Mum on a scale (Or even over a song that allows you to hit all of your range). The key here is keeping a low larynx. Hope that helps hit higher notes :)

I think that before any musical performance or warmup, you have to feel the patterns of the song and really enjoy what you are doing, whether thats humming, drinking water.. etc. I often think about how the instrumentals make me feel, where it makes me feel. If it brings back any memories, where did i experience them? Thats what helps me get into character or vocalize well.. its more personal.

I’d recommend combining your warm up routine with a meditation, particularly if you’ve got pre match jitters. Close your eyes throughout, be grateful for your voice and your gig, then visualize a calm mindset and the best version of yourself whilst you warm up the pipes 🤘🏼

Since studio time might be a bit pricey and Some of us won’t have enough ti warm up in the studio. I would recommend that your warm up will be straight up singing and recording the song. Some beautiful and magical takes can come up from not pushing too hard and from 100% feeling. Good luck ya’ll !

Hey guys, Use a pitch tuner and mimic the sounds Use a piano and match keys A to F Jogging or biking weekly for 15-30 minutes max will keep the breathing in check Natural lozenges will help keep vocals/throat comfortable and mucus down Meditate to relieve stress and nervousness before performance:>) Rehearse again and again Sing your favorite song to get you hype and happy to perform

I know for sure, that nothing you eat (swallow) can reach your vocal cords directly. But some micro pieces of species and crunches, that left in your spit can get down and rich the chords leading to irritation and extra mucus secretion, which causes an unpleasant feeling of blocked throat. One more very important thing is that Larynx in general is very dependent on hormonal changes in a body. It’s a very big issue for all female vocalists

    1. Scale Exercises - Major and Minor Scales:Sing quarter tone and semester : sing a certain note and then sing another note just a half step up and a half step down. - Arpeggios: Sing a broken chord (D D F A F D F D) to enhance intonation, especially when singing solo as well as voice flexibility. 2. Vowel Sounds - Thoroughly practice singing using vowels a, e, i, o, u at varying intervals or pitches on the diatonic scale. This aids in fiddling both tone and clarity of the message. 3. Lip Buzzes - Position the lips softly one against the other and make the sound they create by blowing air. This serves to relax the lips while also warming up the voice. Tips, for Warm Ups; Begin with exercises and gradually build up intensity. Keep yourself hydrated. Avoid consuming caffeine or alcohol before singing. Pay attention to your bodys signals and avoid straining your voice. Consistency is vital-make sure to warm up your voice on days when you're not performing. By incorporating these techniques into your routine you can enhance both the health of your voice and your performance quality.

Breathe for the phrase, not for the note This means focusing on taking breaths between phrases or sentences, rather than between individual notes. This helps to create a more natural, fluid sound and allows for better phrasing and dynamics. It's a simple tip, but it can make a big difference in the way you sound!

I was once told these two tips for singing. When singing low notes don't tilt your head down trying to reach low because this causes stress at the back of the neck and pretty much confines your entire voice system, which is the problem. It also makes breathing more difficult try to look straight ahead or slightly raise your chin and for high notes slightly lower your chin its easier then to do falsetto or any other higher note .
